The half marathon for healthy breasts!!
Anna ran her first half marathon Sunday. She has been training hard for months and it was worth it. Anna had to run the entire distance of a marathon minus half the distance.
The race was an all woman's run to raise money to fight breast cancer. The race started at 7:00am and I met her around 9:00am at the finish line with the kids. I can’t tell you how excited the kids were. It does not really show in the picture.
The kids could not contain themselves when they saw their mom running towards the finish line. At their age, they don’t completely understand the race concept. The twins kept asking me “Did she win?! Did she win!!!” I told them “yes”, because really now, aren’t we all winners just for being alive?
We met her a few minutes later at the post race decompression chamber and Stella was all, “Mom, I am so proud of you”. We are all so proud of her!!
